Summer Internship Program 2023
Engine-4 Foundation’s Summer Internship Program 2023 brought together 25 outstanding students from universities across Puerto Rico and the mainland United States to work on cutting-edge agricultural technology and marine conservation projects.
Program Overview
Our 12-week intensive internship program provides hands-on experience in:
- Agricultural technology development and implementation
- Marine conservation and coral reef restoration
- Data science and machine learning applications
- Community engagement and educational outreach
Intern Projects
AgroBrain Development Team (8 interns)
- Developed new machine learning algorithms for crop yield prediction
- Created mobile applications for farmer data collection
- Improved sensor network efficiency and data accuracy
- Conducted field testing with local farming communities
Reef3D Conservation Team (6 interns)
- Designed and tested new 3D-printed coral reef structures
- Developed underwater monitoring protocols and equipment
- Analyzed marine biodiversity data and coral growth patterns
- Engaged with local diving and conservation communities
Data Science and Analytics Team (7 interns)
- Built predictive models for agricultural and marine applications
